New Orleans in Spring

In March, I got to venture with my family to New Orleans so that our children could experience one of my favorite cities for the first time.

Since young adulthood, I have kept finding every little way that I could to get back to New Orleans for one reason or another and after such a long time since our last visit (the spouse and I hadn’t been back since before we were married), it was so nice to get to spend that time together there this year. We spent our days inside many museums and galleries, we ate too much food, we followed live music wherever it led us down the street and we watched street performers deliver amazing shows for the passersby.

The people, the culture, the music, the food…it is all so precious and unmatched. New Orleans is filled with both the living and the gone and its story as a city is there, so beautifully etched across its face. This will be the first of two entries for my NOLA photos. 2026.
